TRANSAT AG2R LA MONDIALE - 2012 Edition The first edition of the Transat AG2R La Mondiale sailing race took place in 1992. Since then, each every two years the same type of sailing boat « Figaro Bénétteau II » departs from the French port of Concarneau (south Brittany) to reach the Island of St Barthélémy in the Caribbean. On Saturday, april 21, 18 crews of two will be sailing off the French coast to beat the record of BRIT AIR crew (Arnel Le Cleach & Fabien Delahaye) in 2010 who crossed the Atlantic ocean in 22 days, 16h, 59mn & 11s. The distance is between 3400 to 3900 nautical miles.
